The Diversity Coin

A great reminder about the Diversity issue and the special challenges that go with it! Use it as a gift or commemorative token following Diversity training.

Many people believe that organizations that become more diverse automatically become more effective, more productive, more creative.  This is not so.  Diversity takes careful and intelligent leadership and management to be an asset.  Without great leadership, diversity has the potential of pulling an organization apart.  Imagine having lots of diversity without a common vision.  It could become very divisive.  So diversity is a two-sided coin. 

On this Diversity coin (2" in diameter), one side shows all the negatives that can happen when diversity is not valued and not carefully managed.  The other side shows all the positives which can occur when diversity is valued and managed well. The negative
side will tarnish and become dull with time while the positive side of
the coin stays shiny.
