Measuring and Enhancing Executive Behaviors

Direct executive participation and ownership is essential to a successful diversity and inclusion initiative. Executives need and want to understand what specifically they need to do and require assistance in gaining the skills to fulfill their roles. Assessment and training can help them to identify their current status and what they need to accomplish to advance their diversity efforts.

Simmons provides both an assessment tool and a workshop for assisting leaders in moving from their current to desired state. Participants assess themselves against proven executive behaviors necessary to lead an effective diversity initiative. They then engage in problem-solving exercises, create solutions and concrete action plans to advance their individual or executive team diversity and inclusion efforts.

This process can also be done by a Diversity Council or HR Team in preparation to assist executives in understanding their roles and support behavior change.

Key Objectives - Participants will:

  • Recognize the essential elements and the critical executive behaviors that will insure a successful diversity and inclusion process that yields business results
  • Assess the CEO and other executives on these behaviors
  • Explore gaps between current and desired performance
  • Create concrete action plans to overcome challenges and strengthen supportive behaviors
